Young Farmers Ploughing Back to Torquay in 2012
More than 4500 young farmers are set to make their way back to Torquay for their annual convention in 2012.
The Riviera International Conference Centre is delighted to announce that the conference will be returning to Torquay on the 27th – 29th April 2012. This will be the organisations’ ninth visit to the English Riviera since 1995.
Barry Cole, MD, Riviera International Conference Centre, Torquay, said:
“We are always pleased to welcome this event back to Torquay; we are a popular choice for the delegates and it always proves to be a lively, vibrant event.”
The NYFYFC were last here in April 2010, when delegates arrived on many novel and unusual modes of transport as part of a fund raising challenge to travel to the convention. Some delegates cycled; from as far afield as Blackpool and John O’Groats, there was an amphibious vehicle, made out of recycled junk that travelled via land and water to the resort, and even a lawnmower! Charities that benefitted from this challenge included Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI), Acorns Children's Hospice in Worcester and Diabetes UK, and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
