Waves achieves 100% Training Pass Rate
Waves Leisure Pool, located in the Riviera International Centre has been awarded top marks by the Institute of Qualified Lifeguards following their Training Centre Assessment.
Achieving an approved Training Centre status is a requirement for the pool to be able to offer their National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ). This is now the eleventh consecutive year the pool has been running the qualification and it is one of their most popular courses. The course is designed to ensure participants are equipped to deal with almost any water emergency and when completed they are qualified to lifeguard at any pool in the UK.
To become an Approved Training Centre Waves Leisure Pool has undergone an independent assessment looking into the structure and delivery of their training programme as well as the equipment available to course participants.
“Every year we have received a high rate, however this is the first year we have achieved 100% and we are delighted, said Tanya Brimicombe, Waves Leisure Pool Manager. “The pass rate recognises the hard work and commitment of our NPLQ Training Assessor Jacquie Lovett and we are proud to achieve not only high assessment pass rates but also high pass rates of candidates who undertake this course.”
Waves Leisure Pool runs NPLQ courses three times a year in March, May & November. Their May course is now fully booked, however places are available for their November course. For more information click here or call Jacquie on 01803 206 309.
