The Riviera International Centre looks back over 2013
Following a review of 2013 The Riviera International Centre has confirmed that whilst in many ways it was a challenging year, they have still welcomed a total of 254,500 visitors and delegates through their doors and served 34,000 meals.
“Following a National trend we are experiencing a slight downturn in conference bookings, however despite this we have once again hosted a diverse range of events throughout 2013 and have welcomed some 69,000 delegates and visitors to those events, said Simon Jolly, General Manager of Riviera International Centre.
He continued “in addition to providing a high quality conference and events venue, we work tirelessly to provide and maintain facilities for the local community. In 2013 we welcomed 103,500 swimmers to our leisure pool, over 82,000 visitors to our fitness suite, and Chef and his Team served 18,000 meals in our cafe-bar, as well as nearly 16,000 covers for private events
The last 18 months has brought with it a great deal of change for the Riviera International Centre, including a new Board of Directors followed by some tough restructuring decisions to reduce the overall running costs of the Centre.
“In identifying areas of the business where cost savings have been possible we have enabled ourselves to carry out some modest investments in our facilities”, said Simon Jolly. “I am extremely proud of how the team have adapted to these changes and their continued hard work, and I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our loyal customers and clients for their support in 2013.”
