Swimmers Flood into Waves Leisure Pool
Despite many attractions in the English Riviera suffering from depleted numbers this summer, Waves Leisure Pool, located within the Riviera International Centre, has confirmed they have bucked the trend with increased footfall levels throughout June, July and August in comparison to 2011.
September figures however did dip slightly in comparison to 2011, which is being put down to the closure of the pool for 3 days due to the installation of new windows. October figures have increased slightly and overall visitor numbers for 2012 have been forecasted to be up 6% from 2011.
“Once again poor weather has contributed to a very positive season for us, said Tanya Brimicombe, Manager of Waves Leisure Pool. “Our Dip ‘n’ Dine promotion, which includes a swim and a meal in our coffee shop, has also been a success by offering added value to families seeking a full day out.”
“We are encouraged by high footfall this year, however we will not let this slow our momentum in seeking to grow other areas of the business including opening the pool up for private hire, swimming lessons, lifeguard qualifications and children’s birthday parties,” said Tanya.
