Strictly come dancing star to headline health & fitness show
Camilla Dallerup; a Star from Strictly Come Dancing, is set to be a guest speaker at a Torbay Health & Fitness Show in the New Year.
“Whilst many people think Strictly Come Dancing is all about sequins, tassels and live performance, what they don’t see is the dancer’s commitment to rigorous rehearsals and healthy eating programmes. Which is why Camilla will make a very interesting and eye opening speaker at the Show, said Show Organiser Tim Barrs. “Camilla is also a Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) master practitioner coach. This means listeners can benefit from her insights of NLP to help them improve how they think, behave and feel, to ultimately help them to run their own lives more successfully and communicate with other people more effectively.”
Although Camilla has now left Strictly Come Dancing, she is still an avid watcher of the series. “Just because I left strictly after winning with Tom in 2008 doesn’t mean I don’t get just as excited every time the new series starts!” Camilla’s enthusiasm has also extended into a blog where she provides a personal critique of each performance with her own scores.
Camilla has over 30 years experience in the dance business and has taken part in 6 series of Strictly Come Dancing. Camilla discovered her love for presenting when she co-hosted BBC’s Dance Factory where she mastered both studio and live broadcast presenting. She has since been invited to host many live events as public and motivational speaking is something that comes naturally to the Danish beauty.
Camilla’s professional dancing partner is Ian Waite who has also starred on Strictly Come Dancing. Together they have created a dancing show which they perform all over the country at various events and they have made a dance DVD called “The Magic Of Dance.”
The Health and Fitness Show will take place on Saturday 14th January and the other two headline speakers include James Crossley who starred as “Hunter” in Gladiators, and Mark & Jackie Wren who are personal trainers to Davina McCall.
At the Health & Fitness Show there will be an exhibition dedicated to all aspects of the health and fitness industry. This exhibition provides a unique opportunity for local businesses to get involved and showcase their products and services to an already receptive target market. Stands are £50 each and there are also opportunities to give free seminars, classes or talks.
