Riviera Centre goes digital with online ticketing
The Riviera International Centre, who recently launched their brand new website, have now already completed their second phase of website development, involving the incorporation of a new ticketing system called DigiTickets.
DigiTickets was created by Website Vision who also designed and developed their new website. Although the system was initially rolled out by Website Vision in 2008 to allow customers to purchase day passes to local attractions online, the Riviera Centre is the first dedicated events venue to pioneer DigiTickets as a means to purchasing tickets to events online.
"Over the past couple of months we have worked closely with the Riviera Centre to develop DigiTickets so that the software is robust enough to cater for the complex variety of events that take place at the Centre," said Richard Booker, Managing Director of Website Vision.
The first event to benefit from the software has been a 60s Music Festival organised by Maximoo Productions which will take place at the Centre over the August Bank Holiday. The new software has enabled tickets to be sold per performance as well as tickets valid for all 3 days.
"Our new, user friendly website with online event booking capabilities has brought our online presence right up to date with current and existing technologies, that website users have come to expect as the norm in our modern-day technology driven world, said James Tuckfield, Front of House Manager of the Riviera Centre. He continued; "As we have detailed event listings online it makes sense that when people see an event online they will now be able to book online too using our secure online payment system."
