RICC supports the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning
The Riviera International Centre shared cake and poured coffee last Friday for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning raising a massive £352 for the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity.
The Riviera International Centre (RICC) held its own one hour Macmillan coffee morning in the Aqua Lounge on Friday 25th September. It was massively supported by many of the Centre’s regular customers and Lifestyle members.
Aqua Lounge Manager: Linda Wettergreen said:
“Cakes were donated by many local businesses including Gibbons Butchers, MJ Bakers, Crusty Loaf,
Bidvest, Frank Manns, Riviera Foods and Hunny Buns. On the day there were over 19 cakes and Starbucks donated the coffee, so absolutely all proceeds were able to go to Macmillan Cancer Support”
“It was a great morning and was really well attended. We would like to thank everyone for their support and for their generosity”.
Lifestyle Health and Fitness Suite Aerobics Teacher Bridget Rowlands assisted in organising the event:
“I approached the RICC to see if we could support this initiative and am delighted that we were able to work together to pull off such a great event”.
We even received some extra special cakes which we raffled off helping us to raise more. The RICC donated a cake they commissioned especially from Daisy Cakes in Torquay and a member of my class brought in another cake. Thank you to everyone who attended to all those who donated cakes.”
