
Professional Boxing Comes to Torquay

Midlands-based promoter, Errol Johnson, has teamed up with Carl Robson’s Boxing Stable in Plympton to host the ‘Best Of Devon’ at the Riviera International Centre on Saturday, 21st June.
Plymouth Cruiserweight, Courtney Richards, tops the bill as he competes in a Bronze Masters Title fight against a yet to be named opponent.
The 21 year-old turned professional last year and is finding his feet in the paid ranks. He defeated current Southern Area Cruiserweight Champion, Lawrence Bennett, in December and has fought China Clarke, Jon Ibbotson and Henry Smith since.
Fellow Plymouth pugilist, Angelo ‘Concrete’ Crowe also features. The 24 year-old light heavyweight has 6 professional fights to his name to date.
A trio of Exeter fighters join the Plymouth-based duo.
Undefeated welterweight prospect, ‘Pretty Boy’ Freddy Kiwitt, will be looking to make it four consecutive wins after convincing victories against Matt Seawright, Owen Raine and Dee Mitchell since turning professional last November.
Lightweight Lewis Browning has recorded five wins from his opening 7 contests and has shared a ring with British Title Contender, Terry Flanagan.
Southpaw welterweight, Faheem Khan, also features.
Local lad, Torryn Pook, will be flying the flag for Torquay on the bill. The Super Featherweight recorded a victory on his professional debut back in 2012 and will be looking to blow away a few cobwebs upon his ring return.
Completing the line-up is Plympton-based Spaniard, Christian Hoskin-Gomez.
