Pool Approved Training Centre 10th year in a row

Once again Waves Leisure Pool, located in the Riviera International Centre has been verified as an Approved Training Centre by the Institute of Qualified Lifeguards. The Institute is the largest awarding body for lifeguard qualifications in the UK with over 37,000 awards processed each year.

The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification has been running for 10 years at Waves Leisure Pool and is one of their most popular courses. The course is designed to ensure participants are equipped to deal with almost any water emergency and when completed they are qualified to lifeguard at any pool in the UK.

The Approved Training Centre scheme is designed to support pool operators in delivering training and assessment of the NPLQ at the highest possible standard. To become an Approved Training Centre Waves Leisure Pool has undergone an independent assessment looking into the structure and delivery of their training programme as well as the equipment available to course participants.
