Announcing Torquay's best wedding venue!

2012 brings with it some changes for the Riviera International Centre who will be branching out into weddings after recently receiving their wedding license.

The Riviera International Centre has been hosting Wedding Receptions for over 20 years, however with the new wedding licence they will be able to offer a complete wedding package including a Civil Service or Civil Partnership.

Viki Thompson, Senior Event Co-ordinator at the Centre’s said “We’re delighted to have received this licence and I am looking forward to help plan all of our brides and grooms special day. We have hosted a diverse range of themed wedding receptions from Scottish to Vietnamese and I’m excited to now be able to help ensure the themes are consistent from the Ceremony right through to the Reception”.

Russ Haywood and Emma Mills will be the first couple to wed at the Riviera Centre on Saturday 28th July 2012. “We chose the Centre because of the wide selection of surrounding hotels that can accommodate our travelling guests, as well as the extensive support offered by our Co-ordinator which has helped take the pressure off of organising the most important day of our lives,” said Russ Haywood.

Viki; their Event Co-ordinator said “I’m very excited to be organising the first wedding ceremony at the Centre. The Centre is Torquay's ideal wedding venue as we are lucky enough to be located close to both the sea and Torre Abbey Gardens providing plenty of photograph opportunities.”

Nicola Fox the Centre’s Sales Executive said; “I am keen to commence work with wedding clients as our functions rooms are so versatile and offer great scope for creativity!
“We have already received a number of enquiries about holding Civil Ceremonies and are very much looking forward to the year ahead.”
