New Children’s Play Feature planned for Torquay Leisure Pool
Waves Leisure Pool, located in the Riviera International Centre in Torquay has announced they will be launching a brand new Children’s Play Feature at the end of March 2013.
The Play Feature has been designed to engage children of all ages and abilities through interactive play. Located in the shallow end of the Leisure Pool, the Play Feature will combine both high and low level water activities including water jets, fill ‘n’ spill buckets, hand wheels and water wheels. In addition new planned features include interactive sensory panels mounted to the walls of the baby pool, a selection of brand new inflatables and a pirate themed slide.
The installation is set to take place over two days on Monday 25th & Tuesday 26th March. The Leisure Pool will be closed to the general public on these dates and will reopen for the official launch on Wednesday 27th March.
“We feel the Play Feature will greatly complement our existing water activities, which include a flume, waves machine and sloping entry, said Tanya Brimicombe, Waves Leisure Pool Manager. “Every day Waves Leisure Pool welcomes a variety of young swimmers from the age of 4 months and upwards and so this water feature has been designed to be extremely versatile.”
The new play feature has been designed by HippoLeisure who are part of the Manuplas Group and based in Plymouth.
“We are delighted to be working with HippoLeisure who have listened to and understood our requirements, said Tanya. “They have also worked hard to ensure that disturbances during the installation period have been kept to a minimum.
She continued “The official launch is planned just prior to the Easter Holidays and we are extremely delighted to be able to provide an additional fun feature for our weather proof attraction.”
