MAS-SW - Final sponsor for Torbay Hi Tech Forum event
Torbay’s inaugural Hi Tech Forum event is gathering pace with the commitment of sponsors and exhibitors from leading Torbay hi tech companies and the latest announcement that the Manufacturing Advisory Service in the South West (MAS-SW) is supporting the event as a silver sponsor.
MAS-SW provides impartial advice and practical support through a range of tailored, responsive services and programmes delivered by manufacturers for manufacturers. As well as supporting companies transforming raw materials into finished goods, MAS-SW supports manufacturers which supply the aerospace & defence industry, nuclear, wind, solar & wave power (renewable energy) plus building materials and vehicles for the low carbon market.
MAS-SW delivers expert hands-on practical support in product and process innovation to develop new technology; strategic development to turn growth aspirations into reality; and operational improvement to improve productivity and cut costs and waste.
Much of the support provided is either free or subsidised. More information is available at www.mas.bis.gov.uk/south-west.
Simon Howes, Managing Director at MAS-SW "We are keen to support the inaugural Torbay Hi Tech Forum event, as we are very enthusiastic about the potential for growth in this small but thriving sector and are looking forward to working in partnership with companies in the Torbay area. We have seen the need for our support evolve from operational improvement delivered through lean principles, to a wider strategic view of business needs, providing help to develop products and introduce new technologies. MAS-SW is proud to support manufacturers across the region and look forward to continuing to deliver hands-on support to help them innovate and grow in new and emerging markets."
Headline sponsors Bishop Fleming, whose early support enabled the TDA to launch the event and attract other sponsors and exhibitors, are pleased that this exciting event has attracted the attention of a regional and national player. Tim Godfrey, Partner at Bishop Fleming said: “The addition of the Manufacturing Advisory Service illustrates the importance of the Torbay Hi Tech Forum event and recognises the key role this sector has to play in growing the region’s manufacturing economy. We look forward to discussing with business owners in the sector how they can continue to develop their businesses and take advantage of schemes such as R & D Tax Credits and funding options. This event certainly shows that Torbay is serious about becoming a major destination for technological success.”
The Torbay Hi Tech Forum event is free to delegates and will take place from 9am to 5pm with keynote speakers, breakout seminars and a range of sector related exhibitors.
