
Hundreds of Rotarians Head for Torquay

Some 700 Rotary International delegates are in Torquay this weekend for their annual conference.
The delegates from Rotary International 1090 area around the Thames area are spending two nights in the Bay for their three day conference at the Riviera International Conference Centre.
The conference will be focussing on achievement – “We Can”. We’ll be showcasing people who exemplify the theme for the Rotary year 2013-2014 Engage Rotary, Change Lives and the ways in which Rotarians achieve Service above Self.
Among the speakers will be Richard Burbedge who competes for Great Britain’s Transplant Volley ball team, Naomi Riches MBE who was in the crew who won Olympic Gold in the mixed coxed four rowing, and Ben Mee, director of Dartmoor Zoo.
Camborne Town band and the Military Wives Choir will be performing.
