Halloween Party sell out
This year’s Children’s Halloween Party at the Riviera International Centre has been declared a massive success with nearly double the number of attendees compared to attendance in the last 5 years.
Event Coordinator Rachel Perry said “the Party was a complete sell out with 450 children and adults, which was a massive increase compared to an average of 250-300 in previous years. This is the first time I have organised this event and I was determined to make it even bigger and better than before. Our maintenance team helped to create a scary tunnel as you entered the party room, we added lots more props including a full size coffin as well as free sweets, tattoos and fake teeth scattered on tables and chairs surrounding the large dance floor.”
“We did regrettably have an issue with one of our ovens breaking down unexpectedly on the night, which put a slight delay on food, however all those who did not want to wait were refunded,” said Rachel.
The party, which took place on Wednesday 31st October, had been designed for children under 12 was hosted by With a Difference Entertainment who played Halloween themed music as well as competitions and games. The Party which coincidently fell directly in the middle of school half term, which combined with poor weather, is believed to have significantly driven the numbers up this year.
Kirsty Evans Sales Executive at the Riviera International Centre said “my son Jack and I attended the Party as he is only 4 and I didn’t want to risk disappointing him if it rained and we couldn’t go trick or treating. The atmosphere and music was fantastic so we will definitely be attending next year!”
Next year the Party will once again fall into School Half Term so the party will be moved into a bigger room to accommodate up to 600 people.
“This year we unfortunately had to turn people away on the night who had not booked a ticket as we were sold out; however next year we are hoping the Party will be even bigger, said Rachel.
