Grinning and Gin-ing
The RICC certainly has been busy…
From the Grinagog Festival to the Gin Festival, Torquay has been buzzing with events at the Riviera Centre this April, and they’re not finished yet!
Grinagog Festival had a real buzz, with around 4,000 people arriving from 7th – 9th April to enjoy the glorious sunshine and the huge array of musical styles.
The UK’s premier gin events company, GinFestival.com, came to Torquay with over 100 different gins on the 14th and 15th April, attracting almost 3,000 people to their event at the RICC. The idea of providing fantastic gins to more and more people is at the heart of the Gin Festival.
With both of these events proving popular with locals and visitors alike, we hope they will return for another, bigger and better year in 2018. But we’re not done yet!
This weekend Torquay will be bustling with 5,000 Young Farmers, a huge boost in the local economy with many hotels and bars full of convention attendees.
With events like these in the shoulder season we, just need this fantastic sunshine to continue and Torbay will be enjoying an amazing financial year!
