Down under at the Bay Brasserie
Winter may rapidly be approaching; however Torquay restaurant the Bay Brasserie will be casting a ray of sunshine for one night in November with an Australian themed evening.
“If you fancy trying something out of the ordinary then join us on Friday 18th November, said Naomi Morris, Bay Brasserie Supervisor “as you will be able to taste Australian delicacies such as kangaroo and barramundi without having to travel half way around the world.”
The menu has been designed to reflect the strong draw of the Nation’s cuisine on its own bountiful resources which has deviated a long way since Australia’s first settlers brought with them the tastes of 18th century Great Britain. Dishes include; duck & baby beetroot salad with asparagus & peas and a drizzle of fig & balsamic glaze to start, kangaroo steak with parsnip puree, and a Shiraz wine & rosemary reduction for main, and chocolate & coconut lamingtons with a coffee cream coulis for dessert.
“This will be our last Theme Night of 2011, so we will be ending the Theme Night calendar on a high with a fantastic selection of authentic aussie tucker, good music and a relaxed atmosphere,” said Naomi.
The menu is priced at £20 for 3 courses. To book a table call the Bay Brasserie on 01803 206337.
