Ami crowned Miss Torquay now Miss World beckons

AMI Crosby has been crowned Miss Torquay.

The 20-year-old will now compete for the title of Miss England which will be held this June on the English Riviera.

Ami, who works at the Grand Hotel, won the title in the Miss Devon/Miss Torquay heat.

Torbay Hospitality Association helped bring the Miss England competition to the Riviera International Conference Centre by finding and negotiating a suitable venue, sponsorship and planning events throughout the five-day June event.

As a way of saying thank you to the association, the Miss England organisation agreed that two female finalists from Devon will take part in the national final of Miss England, which will feature 72 finalists.

Now Miss Torquay will join Miss Devon in the Miss England final with the possibility of winning the title and go on to enter the Miss World competition in October.
