Aerobathon for Sport Relief
Last Friday’s Sports Relief Event inspired the whole country to get swimming, cycling, running or just plain active. In support of this nationwide initiative the Riviera International Centre held a marathon aerobics event to raise money for this worthwhile charity.
35 people joined the Sport Relief Aerobathon, held on Saturday 22nd March, taking part in a variety of half hour fitness classes, from High impact FX, Yoga Sessions and Aqua TOMIC. The Centres fitness studio and Waves Leisure pool provided the perfect venues for all the different sessions.
Emma Wright, Organiser of the Riviera Centre Aerobathon said:
“There was a fun and friendly atmosphere at this special event. The support and encouragement among the participants was great."
“New friendships were built up and there was a wonderful team-spirit”
One hundred percent of the proceeds raised were donated to Sport Relief. Special prizes were awarded to the two top fundraisers, Hazel Blease and Lucy Cann.
